The Lewis Oliver Farm Sanctuary, as it has for many years , serves as a venue for local community groups including the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America whose members earn their Eagle Scout rank and Gold Star Awards through special projects; student groups who tend our gardens and assist with spring and fall cleanup days in fulfillment of community service ; and adults with special needs who, along with their mentors and counselors, build life and job skills by volunteering their time to help us care for the animals and maintain the barns and property.

The Lewis Oliver Farm Sanctuary also provides students aspiring to enter the field of veterinarian science with the opportunity to gain experience caring for our resident animals and to assist and observe while our board certified large animal, avian and , or exotics veterinarians tend to our animals.

The Lewis Oliver Farm Sanctuary not only is a very special place for our animal residents, but for the humans who help care for them.
